Back-to-School 2025-2026

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! As the new school year begins, we are filled with excitement for the adventures in learning that lie ahead. Our talented and dedicated staff is ready to support and inspire every student, every day. Let’s make this year the best one yet!

This serves as a resource for parents as they begin to prepare for the start of school. Please remember that the first day of school for 2026-2027 is Wednesday, August 12, 2026.

Registration Information

New student registration is currently available for all grade levels. Before visiting campus, it is recommended that parents and/or guardians complete the online registration forms for each student. Additional forms will be given out at the start of the school year (these forms do not interface through Parent Portal). Click here for more registration information.

Returning student registration information was completed via Parent Portal early this year. Parents and/or Guardians should’ve received a pop-up notification after signing in.

All students, 7th Grade through 12th Grade, who are looking to compete in athletics must complete a pre-participation physical and fill out the paperwork through Rank One.

Child Nutrition

Menus

  • Get Breakfast and Lunch menu information for each campus (updated monthly) on the Bonham ISD Website under Child Nutrition.

Free and Reduced Lunch Application

  • Free and Reduced Lunch Application will be sent out at the beginning of the school year. It is very important to fill out this application because it helps in more areas than you would think of, as shown below.
    • Determining Eligibility for Free or Reduced-Price Meals- Income forms are used to assess whether students qualify for free or reduced-price meals under programs like the National School Lunch Program (NSLP). Eligibility is based on household income and size, with guidelines updated annually. For instance, a family of four earning less than 130% of the poverty level may qualify for free meals, while those earning between 130% and 185% may qualify for reduced-price meals.
    • Securing Additional School Funding- The data collected from income forms influences the allocation of federal and state funds to schools. Programs like Title I provide financial assistance to schools with high percentages of low-income students, supporting services such as additional staff, tutoring, and educational resources
    • Access to Other Benefits- Completing income forms can also grant students access to other benefits, including: Fee waivers for standardized tests like the SAT and ACT, discounts on college applications, eligibility for programs like the Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer, and reduced fees for afterschool programs and transportation passes.

My Schools Bucks

  • Prepaying into your student’s account is the easiest way to ensure they have sufficient funds for cafeteria purchases. Payments can be made two different ways:

Cellphone Policy- State Law

The Texas Legislature passed a new state law impacting all Texas public schools. In accordance with House Bill 1481, Bonham ISD will implement the following cellphone and personal device policy:

  • No Cellphone/Personal Device Use During the School Day. This applies from the first bell to the final bell, including lunch and passing periods.
  • Devices Must Be Off and Out of Sight. Students must store their devices in a backpack, purse, locker, or their car for the entire day.
  • Policy Applies to All Personal Devices. This includes cellphones, smartwatches, tablets, and personal laptops not issued by the district.

Bonham ISD Calendars

The Bonham ISD Board of Trustees approved the 2026-2027 BISD school calendar, and it is now available on the BISD website.

The Bonham ISD 2026-2027 UIL Academic Eligibility Calendar is available on the Family & Student Resources page and the Athletics Department page.

Parent Square Communications

Our district uses ParentSquare for school communication, primarily with email, text and app notifications. ParentSquare automatically syncs with our Student Information System to generate an account for each parent, using their preferred email address and phone number. We encourage parents to access their accounts so they can download the mobile app and update their preferences on when and how they are notified.

ParentSquare is a safe, secure, and modern approach to communication and collaboration between school and home.

Please visit the Communications page for more information, click here.

Bonham ISD Athletic Events Tickets

Bonham ISD Athletics is transitioning to online ticket sales only for all junior high and high school home athletic events. You can purchase your online tickets from the BISD website under Bonham ISD Athletic Tickets OR by downloading the Hometown Fan app. QR codes will also be available at the event entrance, directing you to our website. Senior Passes will still be accepted at the gate. If you have an existing one, it will be valid for all upcoming athletic years. However, if you need a new one, you can pick it up at the Administration Building or the Home Gate.
