Child Nutrition
Menus
- Get Breakfast and Lunch menu information for each campus (updated monthly) on the Bonham ISD Website under Child Nutrition.
Free and Reduced Lunch Application
- Free and Reduced Lunch Application will be sent out at the beginning of the school year. It is very important to fill out this application because it helps in more areas than you would think of, as shown below.
- Determining Eligibility for Free or Reduced-Price Meals- Income forms are used to assess whether students qualify for free or reduced-price meals under programs like the National School Lunch Program (NSLP). Eligibility is based on household income and size, with guidelines updated annually. For instance, a family of four earning less than 130% of the poverty level may qualify for free meals, while those earning between 130% and 185% may qualify for reduced-price meals.
- Securing Additional School Funding- The data collected from income forms influences the allocation of federal and state funds to schools. Programs like Title I provide financial assistance to schools with high percentages of low-income students, supporting services such as additional staff, tutoring, and educational resources
- Access to Other Benefits- Completing income forms can also grant students access to other benefits, including: Fee waivers for standardized tests like the SAT and ACT, discounts on college applications, eligibility for programs like the Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer, and reduced fees for afterschool programs and transportation passes.
My Schools Bucks
- Prepaying into your student’s account is the easiest way to ensure they have sufficient funds for cafeteria purchases. Payments can be made two different ways:
- By cash or check at the cafeteria line.
- Online at My School Bucks website

Cellphone Policy- State Law
The Texas Legislature passed a new state law impacting all Texas public schools. In accordance with House Bill 1481, Bonham ISD will implement the following cellphone and personal device policy:
- No Cellphone/Personal Device Use During the School Day. This applies from the first bell to the final bell, including lunch and passing periods.
- Devices Must Be Off and Out of Sight. Students must store their devices in a backpack, purse, locker, or their car for the entire day.

Bonham ISD Calendars
The Bonham ISD Board of Trustees approved the 2025-2026 BISD school calendar, and it is now available on the BISD website.
The Bonham ISD 2025-2026 UIL Academic Eligibility Calendar is available on the Family & Student Resources page and the Athletics Department page.
Parent Square Communications
Our district uses ParentSquare for school communication, primarily with email, text and app notifications. ParentSquare automatically syncs with our Student Information System to generate an account for each parent, using their preferred email address and phone number. We encourage parents to access their accounts so they can download the mobile app and update their preferences on when and how they are notified.
ParentSquare is a safe, secure, and modern approach to communication and collaboration between school and home.
Please visit the Communications page for more information, click here.
