The Bonham ISD Police Department is a full service, independent, Texas Police agency.  We work cooperatively with the Bonham Police Department, Fannin County Sheriff’s Office and other state and local law enforcement agencies in order to provide a safe and secure environment for students, staff and visitors of the Bonham Independent School District.

The mission of the Bonham ISD Police Department is to effectively and efficiently provide for the protection of lives and property, preserve the public peace, with the highest level of professionalism and ethical standards. Provide the school district administration specialized services, strengthening their ability to prepare students for the challenges of the future. It is the goal of the Bonham ISD Police Department to educate and defer students away from the criminal justice system, whenever possible and allowed by law.

It is the policy of the Bonham ISD Police Department to give equal treatment, under the law, to all people, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, politics, national origin, lifestyle, or similar characteristics. The officers of the Bonham ISD Police Department will only stop or detain citizens when reasonable suspicion or probable cause exists to believe they have committed, are committing, or are about to commit a violation of the law, or for other lawful purposes. Officers of the Bonham ISD Police Department are strictly prohibited from initiating any action that constitutes racial or biased-based profiling.

Complaints and/or compliments regarding a Bonham ISD Police Officer can be directed to the Bonham Independent School District located at 1005 Chestnut St. Bonham, TX 75418.

The BISD Tip Form is designed to help students, parents, and community members anonymously report concerns in our school community. Information about bullying, harassment, drugs, violence, weapons, theft, or any other potential threat to school safety should be reported. Anonymous reports may be made through the BISD Tip Form at any time. Reported incidents will be investigated, and school officials will make any determined disciplinary actions.
