BHS Robotics Team Presents the Program at Bonham Rotary Club AND Advances to STATE
The BHS Robotics Team, co-sponsor David Story and BHS Principal Panchi Scown were my guests at Rotary this Wednesday. Mr. Story and the students gave a presentation and demonstration to club members. The students showed a video from last weekends robotics competition, talked about the process of designing, building, testing and refining the robot and demonstrated the tasks the robot completes during the competitions. The students were extremely knowledgeable, excited and confident during the presentation and demonstration.
The BHS Robotics Team placed FIRST with their robot during last weekend's competition advancing them to the state robotics meet in early December!!

Cross Country Competed at Regionals
Rayen Campbell and the entire Boys Cross Country Team advanced to the Regional Cross Country Meet held this Monday. This was a back-to-back regional appearance for all athletes.
Rayen finished 74th out of 175 runners and three boys set PRs on the course.

BHS Varsity Volleyball Team Advances to Playoffs
The Lady Warriors will play the Pilot Point Lady Cats for the Bi-District Championship at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, November 5th at Pottsboro High School.

'Thankful~Grateful~Blessed' Open House
This year our annual Open House Breakfast and Lunch will be held in November since the number of days in December is less than in the past and campus schedules were already very busy.
Jana will be sending RSVP forms soon so you can sign up for either breakfast or lunch.
We will also be handing our the Technology Incentive Checks that day as well!!

School / Community Connection - Bonham Education Foundation
The Bonham Education Foundation is a local non-profit (501)(c)(3) organization which includes parents, educators and concerned citizens. The Foundation was formed in 1999 with the purpose of promoting excellence in education in the Bonham Independent School District. The Foundation aims to support the Bonham Independent School District in preparing students educationally for life and careers in the 21st century through encouragement and recognition of scholarship and creativity.
Programs
- Each fall, the Bonham Education Foundation sponsors the Academic Excellence Awards Program at Bonham High School.
- Each year the Foundation awards teacher’s grants for special projects to benefit students of Bonham Independent School District.
- Each spring, the Foundation honors the Texas Scholars at Bonham High School and gives college scholarships graduating seniors.
