Bonham ISD was pleased to have partnered with the Bonham Public Library in their annual Summer Reading Program this year! Our goal was to provide our students opportunities to discover new interests, new books and the pure pleasure of reading just for fun. Summer is always a great time for the hands-on explorations that connect kids to what they're reading — those experiences helped students build background knowledge and ensure that students were ready for the challenges of the new school year. The Bonham Public Library Summer Reading Program did just that! Throughout the months of June and July, the BPL offered free enrichment programing, as well as, ample reading choices for all students Pre-K-12. Students K-6 had the added opportunity to continue AR testing on books they have read to earn points and were able to complete their required summer reading assignments. Students in grades 7-12 were able to check out their required summer reading books at the Bonham Public Library in order to complete their required summer reading assignment. The Bonham ISD & Bonham Public Library Summer Reading Program was a great success and we are excited to see the out come for next Summer! AR Point and Participation Totals below.
